6 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR MOVE
Ensure your travel documents and visas are valid.
Make hotel reservations and airline ticket bookings.
Notify the following parties of your move:
Bank, Credit Unions, Landlords, Telephone, Gas, Electricity, Water, Insurance Firms, Doctors & Dentists, Social Club, Stock and Share, Business Contact, Schools, Post Office and Friends.
Confirm your packing dates and any special requirements you may have.
If you are moving pets then let us know and we can arrange everything for you.

3 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR MOVE
Plan those farewell parties and visits.
Have the banks etc. acknowledge your change of address or closing of Accounts.
Return any borrowed item & collect any items you have loaned.

1 WEEK PRIOR TO MOVE
Send out clothing for dry cleaning and tailoring if needed.
Prepare a list of clothing for packing into suitcase-you will need to choose what you will wear until your shipment arrives.
Collect your reservation documentation and travel tickets.
Empty any valuables from safe deposit boxes.

DAY BEFORE YOUR MOVE
Defrost and clean your fridge.
Remove all items from your car and leave sufficient petrol on it for Harrah Movers to pick it up, if car is exported.
Pack your suitcases, and select your traveling clothes and games or books for the trip.
Be sure you know where your travel documents and airline ticket are.
Put keys in bags or attach them to drawers to ensure they are not lost in transit.

ON MOVING DAY
Please assist the Harrah Movers’ Supervisor with any question he may ask you.
Remember to fill out the customs forms and Insurance Form and return them signed, to Harrah Movers Supervisor.
Receive the packing inventory from our Supervisor after the packing is completed.
Check all power, gas, water etc. are turned off, and all windows are close and locked.

AFTER PACKING
Relax, don't worry and let Harrah Movers take care of your shipment. You will be contacted when the shipment arrives at its destinations and a convenient time can be arranged for delivery

HELPFUL HINTS FOR A SUCCESSFUL MOVE
Keep aside items you wish to take with you so they are not packed.
HiFi & T.V. equipment: it is best to use original boxes and if you have them then please give them to the Supervisor. If not then don't worry. We will custom make them for you.
Electric and fixed appliance: please arrange to have ceiling fans, ceiling light, cookers, washer, air-conditioners, towel rails etc. to be disconnected ready to be moved.
Money, jewelry and watches etc. are best taken with you.
Be around, or have someone authorized to give instruction to our Supervisor if necessary.

ON ARRIVAL AT DESTINATION & MOVING IN
Upon arrival in the new country, please call our Office or Agent at the number provided, and inform them of any change in your contact address and phone number.
Be present during unpacking to assist furniture location etc.
Check condition and inventory of belongings and advise our agent of any damage. In the unlike event of any damage, please notify our agent or office so he can assist in a prompt insurance claim procedures.
